How it runs
Construction-phase work is defined by what the approvals require and what the owner wants verified. We agree on the visits, the submittals, and the records up front. During construction we observe the work the scope covers, review submittals and requests for information, and document changes so the record set reflects what was built. At the end we coordinate the as-built survey, certify the stormwater practices the permit requires, and assemble the closeout package: record drawings, certifications, inspection records, and the Notice of Termination, in the form the municipality and the agency expect.
Questions people ask
01Can you pick up a project that another engineer designed?+
Yes, with the design engineer’s drawings and a clear agreement on who is responsible for what. Construction-phase roles are written into the scope.
02How often will you be on site?+
As often as the scope says. Weekly SWPPP inspections follow the permit. Observation of other civil work is set by milestones such as subgrade, pipe bedding, and practice construction.
03What is in a closeout package?+
Typically record drawings, stormwater facility certifications, inspection records, and the Notice of Termination. The municipality and the agency set the list, and we build the package to it.
