How it runs
Water and wastewater work in New York runs on the standards the reviewing agency applies: the Department of Health design standards, Appendix 75-A for onsite systems, and the county sanitary code. We start by confirming which agency reviews the project and what it will require, so the design is prepared for that review rather than reworked after it. For a septic design that means the soil and percolation testing, the system selection, and the plan and application the county or state needs. For site water and sewer it means layout, sizing, and the details a contractor builds from. Jessica has worked on both sides of that review, in the public and private sectors, so the design is prepared with the reviewer in mind.
Questions people ask
01Do you do the perc test?+
Yes. Soil and percolation testing for an onsite wastewater design is arranged as part of the scope, witnessed as the county or state health department requires.
02Which counties do you work in?+
Field work, including soil testing, is in Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties and nearby areas by arrangement. Design and plan review are delivered anywhere in New York State outside New York City.
03Can you design a treatment plant?+
No. Treatment process design is outside the practice. Collection, distribution, storage, and onsite systems are in it, and we can point you to the right firm for the plant.
